More about this activity...
What will you do?
We will welcome you at the Pumaq Wasin house and we will depart to the Piuray lagoon. We will tell you the history of our beloved lagoon and why it represents the feminine energy in our Andean tradition. That is why we will ask permission to its waters, making a floral offering to grant us a great day of work and sharing.
Then we will hike for twenty minutes to the Salaqq’aka viewpoint and take advantage of the breathtaking view of the lake, where we will prepare a picnic with local organic products: quinoa, corn pepián and vegetable torrejas.
Back in Pumaq Wasin, we will teach you the techniques of traditional backstrap loom weaving: from washing the wool and spinning, to weaving. And to finish with a sweet ending, we will treat you to a wheat bread with tumbo jam, a delicious local fruit.
