Description

More about this activity...

What will you do?

We will start by milking fresh milk from our beautiful cow. Then we’ll get down to work and I’ll teach you to strain and pasteurize the milk, and then we’ll put together the molds where the cheese will take on body and flavor. In the meantime, ask me how to say whatever you want in Quechua: I speak the language of the Incas. Besides, I will teach you some Andean games from our childhood, untouched until today. We will do everything in my house, located in the mountains of Yucay.

Learn about host Kenyt

Hi, I’m Kenyt. Since I was a child, my parents taught me ancient pre-Inca techniques to produce one of the richest cheeses of the Peruvian Andes. Today I pass on this knowledge to my children, and why not to the world as well!
