What will you do?
Fredy will meet you at the police station in Chinchero and guide you to his house where Sonia will welcome you. With her you will walk to the fields where you will learn about local, fully organic vegetables . You will harvest the vegetables necessary to prepare Yuyu Hawcha, a typical Andean dish.
Back at the house, Sonia will teach you how to prepare this recipe step by step. Once it is ready, you will share the table with Fredy and Sonia and enjoy this delicious dish you helped to make.

Moderate – there is a ten minute uphill hike to Sonia and Fredy’s house and then a 10 minute hike in rural terrain to the field

Bring comfortable clothes and shoes for harvesting on the farm.
Bring a hat to protect you from the sun, a rain poncho and a jacket for cold weather.
