About your host
I was born and raised in Miraflores, Lima, close to the sea. My dad taught me how to ride waves on my bodyboard at Herradura beach. By age 15 I was surfing a fiberboard and haven’t stopped since. In 1998 I moved to Mancora and established a surf school where I’ve taught a whole generation of local kids how to surf. I love the excitement of my students, especially the little ones, when they catch their first wave and stand tall on the board!
