Description

More about this activity...

What will you do?

We will meet in an intimate and natural environment. We will begin by relaxing our body to encourage the fluidity and expansion of breathing. We will prepare our vocal cords by putting into practice antiphonal singing: open listening and repetition, strengthening confidence in one’s own voice. We will learn a song by delving into its historical and social context. We will perform sound meditations based on prolonged holding of specific frequencies. We will connect all our sounds with our intention to open the way to the manifestation of our visions.

Learn about host Mariana

Singing changed my life. I always wanted to sing but thought it wasn’t for me. When I found myself singing, I felt I could do anything. I left city life and started traveling and studying songs from different parts of the world. I arrived in the Sacred Valley in 2020 where I connected with the power of meditation and sound exploration in temples and nature. I am part of the “Kukuy: Voices Calling” project that promotes memory, community reappropriation and dissemination of ancestral songs in Cusco, and encourages personal and collective empowerment through the voice.
