More about this activity...

What will you do?

The tour will start at the main square of Cusco. From there we will walk to the famous San Pedro Market, designed by Gustavo Eiffel, the same who designed and built the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We will have a brief introduction about the city and what we will do. On our way to San Pedro, we will pass by different streets and squares full of tradition, such as Plaza Regocijo, Plaza San Francisco, where we can stop to take pictures, appreciate the Cusquenian architecture and talk about the interesting local history. Arriving at the San Pedro market we will visit our favorite stands. We will meet people like Carmen who will make us taste exotic fruits of the area; Modesto who will tell us all about the native Peruvian potato and its more than 4,000 varieties; Erlinda who will treat us to the famous Chuta bread; among other friends of the market. This experience is designed to feel like an informal visit with a Peruvian friend to the local market. This tour has it all: history, culture and fun.
